Steering committee charts course for community involvement committee

Thanks for a great start last night to an important initiative in our Strategic Plan. I am looking forward to our follow-up discussions, as well as feedback from each of you after we all have a chance to complete our readings.

As promised, here is the link to the Annenberg research study on Community Involvement. I've included the full report as well as the Executive Summary.

Rosemary,
Thanks for the resources you have provided. To keep them archived in one place, I've included your links on the blog under "Check out this new link."

I've also posted some tips on posting right to the blog.

Hi all,

Just an update to let you know that I have been in contact with a representative from Annenberg. Although they are primarily working with urban districts right now, they are intrigued by the Town-wide Learning Community action plan we are working on. There is a possibility that they might be able to work with us on a pilot program. I will be talking with the represenative again on Friday Feb. 20th and will have further updates after that.
